Version 1.2.0 Release Notes: New Features: Side by Side in VR: The MenuCanvas now supports the side-by-side comparison of two datasets in VR. This enables the merge function to compare vector-based differences between two gene expressions. FigureViewer Update: A new generic figure viewer has been added that adapts to the height ratio of the original image, finds all images in a directory, and has improved performance. It can also open images externally in the default image viewer. Improvements: Check File Paths: When loading a directory, the system now checks if all necessary files are found and shows which files are missing. Improved default error handling/file not found: The system now handles if files are not found and writes them into a logfile. Clean Scripts: The MenuCanvas script has undergone major cleaning, removing redundancy and improving performance, readability, and logic. CSV file reader improved: The system now checks files for headers by comparing datatypes of the first and second row. Fixed missing file paths for Unity Editor: The system now handles internal file paths depending on standalone or editor. Bug Fixes: Logfiles: A new logfile system has been added to trace error handling. Figure Viewer: Debugging of the Figure Viewer has been performed to ensure proper functioning. User Movement: Fixes and updates have been made to Player Movement. Tomo-Seq: The Tomo-Seq script has been updated, using the SpotDrawer Class now, and has improved performance and accuracy. It takes bitmask input for initial 3d shape and has adapted Search functions and UI. Save and Continue Session: A new Save function (JSON) has been added to save a session, including current gene Name, ROIs selected, figures, SVG, etc. A new continue Session function has also been added from the main menu to directly continue with the last session. Improved Tomo-Seq: An upload of a single folder containing Tomo-seq data for visualizer has been added. The bitmask is now an optional input for data. The gene search query has been improved, and performance for visualization of Tomo data has been highly improved. Player controls for Tomo-Data have also been improved.
